Easy Thanksgiving Centerpieces
If you would like a beautiful centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table, don't spend lots of money buying one. You can easily make elegant centerpieces that will be the highlight of your Thanksgiving table. Below you will find suggestions for several centerpieces along with links to photos to show you what the finished centerpieces can look like.
Easy Thanksgiving Centerpiece #1 - Candles and Fruits: You can make a very elegant Thanksgiving centerpiece by simply arranging some pillar candles with dried slices of citrus fruit. Buy 3 or 4 pillar candles in fall colors. Try to get them in various heights. Then buy an orange, a lemon, and a lime. Slice the fruits about 1/8 inch thick then place them on the rack of your oven that is preheated to 250 degrees. Leave the fruits in the oven for about 2 hours. If they are still not dry, just turn off the oven and leave them longer, even overnight. Then arrange the candles on your table and stand the slices of dried fruit up all along the front of the candles. You can add a branch or two of berries or just any dried branch. Easy Thanksgiving Centerpiece #2 - Candles and Nuts: For this centerpiece, you will need various candles, assorted glassware and nuts in the shell. Start by going through your cupboards and pulling out any clear glasses, vases, or stemware. Once you have all the glassware, decide what size candle will fit in each glass container, such as pillar candles, votive candles or tapered candles. Then place the candles in the glassware and partially fill around the candle with nuts. Small nuts like hazelnuts or almonds are a good choice. Arrange the candles on your table and add some greens around the base of the glasses if you want. To see a photo of how this Thanksgiving centerpiece can lookclick here.
