Signs your Colleague wants to ask you on a Date
There are many signs that a colleague may want to ask you out on a date. Some organisations frown upon colleagues dating or getting into a serious romantic relationship with each other, but many life partners meet at work and have a happy union.
Here are some signs that a colleague is interested in dating you:
A colleague who is interested in dating will always be around that person and may display an unusual interest in them. It can be very awkward at work when someone makes a special trip from another part of the building just to speak to you but if it is the opposite sex, it generally means that the person has some romantic interest in you.
The colleague asks you personal questions like if you are married or single, age, hobbies and interests and family background. This is a very strong indication that the colleague may want to ask you out on a date. People should be cautious about dating other coworkers as some people lie about their backgrounds; they could be married and pose as being single. It is important to find out if a colleague who is interested in dating you is really single and unattached, from other coworkers who know this person better than you.
The colleague hints that the two of you should go out some time together for a night out. This is an obvious sign that the colleague is asking you on a date. The reply should be a straightforward 'yes' if you are interested and a 'no' if you are not. The tone of voice, body language and answer can tell the colleague if you are interested in dating him/her or not.
Body language is a strong indication that a colleague may be interested in asking you out on date. The colleague may always gaze into your eyes when communicating with you or touch you on the shoulders to show that he cares. Body language can also be a strong indication if people are attracted to each other. A smile can also be an indication of attraction.
A colleague who is interested in dating another colleague may just come up and ask the person on a date if he/she has enough confidence to do so. People do not always have the confidence to talk to the opposite sex but they may confide their feelings in another coworker and this person may act like a catalyst who brings the two 'office lovebirds' together.
