New Years Resolutions all Men should Make
Many men make New Year's resolutions. I will lose 10 pounds. I will ask that girl that I like out on a date. I will eat healthier. I will stop smoking. I will make more money. I will take college classes at night. Who you are, what you desire and what you need to fix our major factors into what a good New Year's resolution revolves around.
Many men miss the point, though. All those things are important, but they're all symptoms not the problem. It is fine to attach specific goals to achieve throughout the year. “I will stop smoking” and “I will eat healthier” are wonderful goals. But for a resolution their lacking. The best resolutions a man can make are the ones about making himself better man.
♦ Being a Better Husband/Boyfriend
All relationships involve give-and-take. You may be the world's worst husband/boyfriend or you may be the world's best husband/boyfriend, there is always room for improvement. Going out of your way to do things that please your woman and doing those little things she never notices are the most important things a man can do. The goal of being a better husband/boyfriend is a lofty one that hopefully will set you up with a caring and loving partner for the rest of your life.
♦ Being a Better Father
Obviously this one only pertains to those men who have children. But for those that do it is an essential goal. The parent shapes the future of their child. Good parenting doesn't guarantee a child success but bad parenting more often ensure some sort of failure either emotionally or socially or both. Being a good parent taking time for your children and above all caring and supporting them is one of the greatest gifts a parent can be given in one of the greatest gifts they can give.
♦ Being a Better Friend
Friendship is an easy thing to nurture. You should not have to do very much to maintain a friendship with somebody. They either are your friend or aren’t. A good friend will put up with a lot, simply because they are your friend. Just because you can get away with not always being the best friend does not mean that you should. Taking time out for your friends and actually caring about them and supporting them is a very good resolution for this coming year.
♦ Achieving higher Degree of Success
one of the top goals on nearly everybody's list would be success. Whether it is in success in business, successful weight loss, success in changing a habit, it doesn't matter, success is on everybody's mind. Success though is not as important as emotional connections with family. It is still something that is important to and achieving a higher degree of success in whatever endeavor you wish is a great resolution for the new year
♦ Being Happy
The saying goes, “you don’t know what you have got until it is gone.” This is very true. Most of us don't know all the good things we have lights until they're no longer there. The best resolutions a man can make is to simply be happy with things they have. If you're constantly worried over what you, "do not have" you almost never get there and will constantly be unhappy. It is fine to strive for more but always take time to enjoy what you have.
