Great Bridal Shower Games

From 3arf

Games or no games? That is the question many women debate over when they are planning a bridal shower for their friend, the bride-to-be. The reason this is such a debate is because so many of us have been to bridal showers with the same boring games, like word jumbo, and we do not want to recreate that lameness! The tip to keep in mind is to make the games you play unique and fun! The following two games for have proven to be tons of fun and get lots of laughs, making for a truly unforgettable bridal shower.

Wedding Tray Memory: This is an alteration of the classic 'tray memory' game played many times at baby showers. For the bridal shower tray you can buy a mix of classic wedding items that are romantic and also some items that are slightly sexual or embarrassing. Some ideas: lace, a rose, a small dove decoration, a pretend diamond ring, mock vows or a love letter, a pair of sexy undies, condoms, massage oil, lubricant, a blindfold and any other fun things you can think of. 10-15 items is a good number of things to have.

Take a slow walk around the room once or twice, being sure everyone gets a chance to see the tray. Then give them 1 minute to write down every item they can remember. The guest that remembered the most items gets a prize. You may be surprised, but most women will remember the sexy items more than the other things!

The Pre-Newlywed Game: This is based off of the old television game show, except with a few twists.

First, the set up for the bride: Before the shower, create a list of 15-20 questions about the groom and their relationship that the bride will have a difficult time answering correctly. (Some ideas for difficult questions: What is the groom's biggest pet-peeve? It really turns him on when ((fill in the blank)). What animal/household appliance/color would the groom compare you to and why? What does the groom love most about you? What does the groom remember most about your first date? What did the groom say is the most embarrassing thing you do around him? What is the first movie you saw together?) Ask these questions to the groom and record his answers with a camcorder or on paper. Also, you'll need to buy two packs of bubble gum (not chewing gum) and be sure it's the really big, juicy kind.

Next, the set up for the guests: Purchase a pack of Hershey kisses, colorful paper plates, and Popsicle sticks. Glue a Popsicle stick to the the bottom of each plate, near the edge. On one side of the plate draw an 'X'. On the other side, draw a check-mark. Make one for every guest that is expected to attend.

Now, for the game! Ask the bride a question. Before she answers, ask the guests to hold up their paper plate signs to predict whether she is going to answer correctly (checkmark) or incorrectly ('X'). Now ask for the bride's answer. Either play the recorded video of the groom-to-be or read the correct answer. For every guest that predicted correctly, hand out a Hershey kiss. If the bride answers correctly, hooray! If she answers incorrectly, she has to put a piece of bubble gum in her mouth. Continue with all the questions, not letting the bride take the gum out of her mouth! By the end of the game, the hope is to have as many pieces of gum in her mouth as possible and have her drooling all over the place. (This is a great picture moment) The guest with the most Hershey kisses gets a prize.

There are many more fun games you can play at a bridal shower, but these are two of my personal favorites that always have the guests talking about all the fun they had. They've proven to be games that are unique and provide lots of laughter, which are two key ingredients in creating an unforgettable experience.
