For hundreds of years men have been looking for unique ways to propose to their wives. We have all heard the more extravagant stories about proposing while sky diving, or proposing on a bill board. While those aren't your typical proposals, you may want to find something more subtle and a little less dangerous. Here are some romantic ways for proposing to your wife-to-be that are still unique and very romantic!
Build-A-BearCreate a "Proposal Bear". With hundreds of Build-A-Bear Workshops around, getting a hold of one won't be hard. Stop by your local Build-A-Bear and pick out a bear. Before stuffing the bear you will be given the option to insert a message box. Select a personal message box and record your proposal. Place the box inside of the bear and then continue the process of it. Once your bear is created you can dress it how ever you would like to but keep in mine they do have wedding dresses and tuxedoes. This way you will have a romantic proposal along with a keepsake!
KaraokeIf you and your mate like to sing then go out to karaoke night and sing her a romantic love song. At the end of the song propose to her. Not only will it be romantic but it will be in front of all those people. How could she resist?
Glow!Find yourself some glowing stickers, stars, or paint. Write your proposal message where ever you plan to be that night. For instance if you are having a romantic dinner a home, simply write the proposal above the bed on her ceiling. Stand out side her door and wait with the ring. Once she turns the lights off it will be moments before she comes to find you. If you are camping write them in the woods on a trail. Take her for a nice walk and stop near the spot of your proposal. Slowly point her attention that way! She will be left glowing with love!
Christmas TimeIf you plan on proposing during Christmas time, write your proposal in Christmas lights on the lawn. Take her outside after dark and tell her to plug in the lights!
Treasure HuntPlace small clues around the house using sticky notes. Make it out to be a game. Have the clues lead the way to your engagement ring! After a fun game of Treasure Hunt she will be thrilled to find her diamonds and gold!
MagicHire a magician to entertain the two of you and maybe even a few friends. At the end of the performance have him pop out a box with the engagement ring in it. Have her take part in the trick so that she can open the box and receive her magical ring.
Score!Go out for a sports game the night of your proposal. Make prior arrangements with the management to have your proposal flashed across the score board!
Decorate the Christmas TreeDecorate the Christmas tree with lights and one single ornament- a velvet box or a trinket that can hold the ring. Have her come in and show her the new ornament and let her discover its hidden proposal!
Message in a BottleWhile out fishing or sailing have a bottle prepared with your proposal message and your engagement ring. When she's not paying attention, slowly place the bottle in the water. Wait for the bottle to float a few feet away from the boat and then show her the bottle. Act surprised and encourage her to get the bottle out of the water. It will be like one of those sappy love stories she watches on TV!
Casino Style!Go to your favorite casino and get a bucket full of coins, place the ring and a your romantic proposal among the coins as she makes her way to the bottom she will find your proposal!
Radio RomanceIf your wife-to-be has a special station that you know she loves to listen to, call the DJ while she is on her way home. Ask the DJ if you can propose on the air. Not only will this be romantic, you will be confessing your love to her in front of thousands!
Once you have decided how you will propose, decide when. Make sure that it will be a day that both of you will be available. Make it the best day possible. After all it will be the day you propose and there for a day they you will be remember for ever!
