Four Original Ways to Propose Marriage

From 3arf

There are certain things in life that a person will always remember, such as her first kiss, his first love, and her engagement day. Proposing is one of the scariest things that anyone can do. One simple question and answer determines an entire future. But honestly, do you want to just pull out of ring and say “let’s get hitched” and have that be the memory that he or she remembers for the rest of his or her life? Or do you want them to look back after 15 years of marriage and say “that was a day to remember”?

So what are some ways you can turn the biggest question you will ever ask into the ultimate marriage proposal?

How about turning it into a game? Do you remember as a kid having a neighborhood scavenger hunt? The whole neighborhood would get involved and turn it into a major event. And most of the time, the kids were more excited about the actual hunt than they were about what they were hunting for. So turn your proposal into an entire fun event! It might get a little elaborate to put it all together, but when she gets to the end of the scavenger hunt, the main prize will be a ring on her finger and you in her arms for the rest of your lives. And the memory of the proposal will be associated with fun times and the originality of it will have all of her friends green with envy.

Maybe a scavenger hunt is just a little too elaborate or maybe you know that your future spouse is the ultimate thrill seeker. A great original way to propose would be to propose while diving off of a cliff or maybe while you are going 100 miles per hour on a roller coaster! It will be a day to remember for multiple reasons. Just make sure you don’t pull out the ring until you actually stop falling or are off of the roller coaster. You wouldn’t want to have to go buy another one, would you?

For the sports fanatics, you can announce to the entire stadium how much you love your future spouse by proposing over the scoreboard.  Just make sure you have the camera on the two of you when it comes across and that she is actually looking!

Now the romantic side of you may be asking where the romance in the proposal is. For you romantics, you can do something as simple as taking glow-in-the-dark stars and spelling out “Will you marry me?” on the ceiling with them. Cook a candlelight dinner for two with some light music playing in the background and then suggest going into the room with some champagne. When she is relaxed and lying back, turn off the lights and let her read your message. Be prepared for speechlessness at the very beginning. It might take her a little while to get that “yes” out.

Obviously, there are so many ways you can ask for your love’s hand in marriage. There is nothing scarier and nothing more exciting than the day you propose. You just have to find the way that is perfect for you and your future spouse, making it one they remember for the rest of their lives.
