ALT-8 Best Questions to ask the Bride before Marriage

From 3arf

When a man proposes to a woman hes asking her to spend the rest of her life with him. He wants to be that one person who wakes up beside her everyday, who makes her laugh, makes her smile, sees her through the good and the bad and most importantly be the one who always has her heart. While you may be certain your girlfriend is the one for you, you may feel the need to ask some important questions before the big day. Being in a successful marriage means wanting the same things in life, knowing what you both want and knowing that together you can make it happen. While it may be hard to bring up these questions it could lead to all sorts of problems if left unanswered. You may find your not as well suited as you thought or that you want entirely different things from life in which case maybe marriage isn't the best option for you.

The questions a bride should be asked before as exactly the same a groom should be asked. After all you want to know that you both feel the same way don't you? Here's a list of what I feel are important questions every groom should ask his bride.

Will you love me unconditionally through the good and the bad?

  • Do you trust me with your life?
  • Likewise can i trust you with mine?
  • What makes you so sure I'm the one you want to spend your life with?
  • What does marriage signify to you?
  • If we decide to have children will we raise them equally ?
  • Again if we have children will you still make sure we have time for "us"?
  • If we woke up tomorrow broke would you still love me and want to be with me?
  • Can i rely on you not to cheat and break my heart?
  • In your eyes what constitutes cheating and is it ever acceptable (hopefully your answers on this one will match up!)
  • If i do get ill will you be there with me to help me through or will i suddenly find myself alone?
  • Will you promise to love me with all that you are for the rest of our days?
  • Will you promise to love me in 20 years time when my 6 pac is more of a 12 pac?(result of all the home cooked meals)
  • Will you encourage me to pursue my dreams or will you resent the fact i have my own goals and aspirations?
  • If and when the children come along will you expect me to give up work or will we be able to find a solution that suits us both so neither of us has to sacrifice a career we've worked so hard to build?
  • In your eyes what makes a marriage successful? What are the things most important to you in a marriage?

And of course you need to be sure your bride is actually ready to get married. Ask her what makes her so sure she's ready to take the next step with you and become your wife. Knowing how your other half feels is a vital part of marriage as is communication. Yes your partner might feel slightly worried your throwing so many questions at her , but if she truly loves you and you know her as well as you think you do then she'll answer with nothing but honesty and her answers will be music to your ears. You cant marry someone just because you think they're hot or because they know how to do that amazing thing with their tongue, you have to be sure you and your other half have what it takes to stand the test of time. If you cant communicate before the wedding how do you plan to communicate after ? Sometimes asking your other half these kind of questions can be hard, but it is necessary. In order to have a lasting and healthy marriage you both have to be on the same page. Because if your both not in the same place in your lives , its quite possible marriage isn't the next logical step for you. So before you start choosing your best man , take some time and talk to your fiancee. Ask her what questions you think are important to you and in return answer any she has. You might even find once you start talking and opening up you realize how perfect you really are for each other. And then you can both walk into your marriage together knowing its the right step for both of you and there really isn't anymore more perfectly suited for you in this world.
