From 3arf

We really should thank the media, along with the people who do idiotic things that are responsible for giving us a great selection of controversial Halloween costumes. There are some which definitely make the short list of the top five controversial Halloween costumes for 2011.

Casey Anthony

This is a no-brainer. Casey Anthony is an easy controversial figure to choose as your controversial Halloween costume. You do not have to spend the money on purchasing the Casey Anthony costume at your local costume shop. Just pull your hair back very tightly, or wear a brown wig that can be styled like Casey Anthony’s. Wear a thin, harsh eyebrow line. Use harsh eyeliner on your upper and lower eyelids, without smudging it as you would normally wear it. Wear a watermelon-colored lipstick. Be sure to wear a blouse with plenty of ruffles on the front.

Osama bin Laden

Osama bin Laden is definitely in the top five most-controversial costume choices for 2011. Use olive-toned face makeup-the rougher the appearance, the better. Heavy bushy eyebrows and beard are required. Use clothes or material around the house to make traditional dress similar to what he wore or opt for fatigues.

Politician-Pick one, any one

In this year of stand-ins, sit-ins, Occupy Wall Street, unfaithful politicians, politicians making controversial moves such as Ohio Governor John Kasich attempting to take away union member’s rights which has resulted in protestors gathering enough signatures to put the issue on the November ballot, as well as his controversial re-districting, and changes to early and absentee voting, just about any current politician is sure to be a controversial hit. It’s open season for controversial political figures as a choice for Halloween costumes.

Terrorist

Dollar stores carry fake grenades and toy guns. Strap several on over your fatigues. Be sure to have at least one showing slightly from under your turban and boots.

Homeless person

When a person put on old, raggedy clothing and tied a piece of cloth on a stick and applied dirt to his face for trick-or-treating, we used to call it a “hobo.” Today, we call it “reality.” Wear raggedy clothes that do not match. Shake your head to give an unkempt appearance to your hair. Wear old, worn shoes. Carry a plastic bag with some junk mail in it as your “important papers.” Put a wash cloth in the bag. This will also serve as your trick-or-treat bag. String rope or string long enough to fit over your head and hang midway over your chest through two holes made in a piece of paper or cardboard. Use a marker and write “I am homeless” on the paper. Wear your sign hanging around your neck, over your chest. Have fun trick-or-treating!

There are so many controversial costumes for Halloween 2011. Some of them are so controversial that if you do not have it already, you can not get it now. One such example is the sexy Anna Rexia costume, featuring an anorexic skeleton woman. It caused such controversy that it has been pulled from store shelves. So get your controversial 2011 Halloween costume early. Better yet, to make sure your costume is still available, make your own!
