From 3arf

Who said Halloween is unromantic? You and your main squeeze can have a fantastic evening with some creative thinking and a great costume.Ideasto get your twisted mind working include:

Host a couples costume party

Be sure to plan ahead of time so people have the chance to get appropriate costumes depicting famous couples. To add to the fun, you can offer a prize for for the best costumed couple. Make sure you have plenty of treats and of course, a few tricks to spice up the event.

Take a hint from the 'Addams Family'

Stage a "Who dunnit" murder mystery night with an Addams Family theme. You and your sweetheart dress up likeGomezandMorticiaand host a macabre evening of serving up clues and treats to "die for". Murder mysteries are a popular theme for Halloween, but why be ordinary about it? Be creative with your story and clues and choose a friend to play the "victim". Decorate the play area and get some good sound bites from the internet or buy them on CD. If you have never watched the original televisionseriesor the movies, you may want to check them out and brush up on your best Addams impressions.

Dinner and a scream

Here is one for couples that want to spend the evening alone: have a candlelit dinner and then watch a good horror flick on TV. Sounds boring, right? Wrong! You create a haunted atmosphere with some spooky decorations, black taper candles for the table, ratty or torn tablecloth, cobwebs everywhere and to complete it: a wolf howling as "mood music". Be sure to offer up some sort of food item that "oozes" like spaghetti (resembles worms in low lighting). Then when your meal is over, settle in to watch a favorite slasher movie, in the dark of course (makes for perfect cuddling opportunities).

Picnic

A moonlit picnic can be very romantic, especially if you choose a quiet spot like near the cemetery (do not actually go inside). Pack up a nice meal complete with some Halloween goodies (avoid alcohol since drinking and driving is unwise), do not forget the blanket to sit on! You can dress up as a famous couple and play out a scene from a movie or story to spice up the evening. You can even mark the occasion by recording via cellphone or digital camera and save it for later. Be sure to dress warmly if it is chilly where you live and observe safety by having flashlights.

Story time..?

This can be very romantic, that is after you scare the wigs off of each other trading scary stories. Do some research on some of the creepiest tales you can find and then turn out the lights, turn on the scary background noise and let the fun begin! You can really create a spooky atmosphere by lighting a few strategically placed candles (or opt for a candelabra) and place some props like a zombie (friend in costume) to come out at an appropriate moment and of course regular decorations like spiderwebs and fake blood everywhere. This can also be a fun party game for couples.

Couples can have plenty of fun on Halloween by arranging a hauntingly romantic evening. Be sure to plan ahead and if you are going to be outside, plan for the weather.
