ALT-2 Best Mini Vans
I have always considered myself a stylish and sophisticated woman. To me a car is far more than a necessity. It is a fashion accessory that can also serve as an extension of the driver's personality and lifestyle. In my early twenties I was the proud owner of a sports car. I loved that car for the sheer fact that it accurately represented my young, hip and carefree lifestyle. In those days, as my friends and I cruised the streets aimlessly in search of a good time we would pass minivans full of kids being driven by so called "soccer moms".At that time I could not understand their motivation behind choosing to drive such a car because my lifestyle varied so drastically from theirs. Years later I met and married the love of my life. Soon after I experienced the joy of motherhood and came to realize that my sports car no longer fit my lifestyle. So, I sold that car and purchased an upscale, four door sedan. As the mother of two small children I felt completely comfortable and stylish in my new car. As faith would have it, years later, my husband and I were blessed and surprised by the arrival of our twin daughters. Suddenly, the sedan we loved so much was no longer large enough to transport our entire family.
With much reluctance, my husband and I decided to shop for a minivan. The thought of driving a minivan terrified me. I felt as if I was being forced to sacrifice my unique sense of style and my family's comfort for the sake of more space and plain old practicality. However, as we began our search for a minivan I learned that today's minivans have far more to offer than I expected. I had originally failed to see the potential of today's minivans because my views of them were influenced by myths instead of reality. I love my new minivan. Best of all I now understand the reason why hundreds of thousands of families own minivans: There is no joy greater than being able to care for your family's needs comfortably and stylishly.
MYTH #1 MINIVANS ARE NOT STYLISH.
Through my research I learned that the strikingly contemporary design of the 2008 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan makes it one of the most stylish cars on the road today. With its innovative Swivel 'n' Go seating option, Stow 'n' Go option, Third -Row Power Folding 60/40 Bench Seat option, Yes Essentials Seat Fabrics and Lifetime Powertrain Warranty the 2008 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan is a smart buy for the family looking to cruise down the highway of life together in style.
MYTH #2 MINIVANS ARE NOT COMFORTABLE.
It is important to note that minivans come in three sizes: compact, regular, and large. The truth of the matter is that today's minivans come equipped with all of the amenities we see in high end luxury cars as well as an interior that is far more spacious than any other vehicle's interior space. Some of the features found in today's minivans are leather seats, heated front and back seats, navigation system, CD player, surround-sound speakers, overhead video screens, sunroofs, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, ParkSense rear park assist system, and video game plug-in consoles. The comfort of today's minivans has often been compared to the comfort many of us experience in our living rooms.
MYTH #3 MINIVANS ARE NOT SAFE.
The 2008 Kia Sedona is the safest minivan on the road today. The Sedona is the only minivan to have earned a 5-Start crash safety rating as well as the Top Safety Pick of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The 2008 GMC Savana has a coveted three star rollover resistance rating. Likewise, most new minivans today have full-length side curtain airbags as a standard feature. The Dodge Grand Caravan minivan comes equipped with side curtain airbags for all three rows and steering wheel mounted controls which help minimize driver distraction.
MYTH #4 MINIVANS ARE NOT BUDGET FRIENDLY.
High end minivans such as the 2008 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan MSRP at $23,200 which is far more affordable than most SUVs. According to Consumer Guide Magazine the base price range for minivans is anywhere between $24, 155 to 37,660. This does not take into account the great deals to be had on used minivans. Even though V6 power is the standard among minivans they tend to use far less gasoline than an average SUV. Most minivans today can offer over 20 mpg on the highway. Furthermore, on average minivans tend to cost less to insure than SUV's. The Toyota Sienna, which has an MSRP of around $40,000 is one of the costliest minivans available. However, the Sienna is also one of the most dependable cars on the road today. If you're looking for a new minivan starting in the low $20,000's than the The GMC Chevy Uplander minivan is for you.
