ALT-1 How to Protect yourself from the Bridezilla Syndrome
You may not need protection from the "bridezilla syndrome" but chances are, if you are the bride in question, you will need strong support from others to keep a sense of composure during the last couple of weeks prior to the wedding day.
If you have engaged a formal wedding planner to take care of the details, most of your big decisions already have been made as the wedding date gets closer. You can spend most of the rest of time looking to your own personal needs as the date draws near.
If you don't have a formal wedding planner but have the support of family and friends, you may get pulled into the drama of last minute obstacles or changes in the wedding plans. When you are pulled in too many directions, frustration and anxiety can take control and create the dreaded "bridezilla" monster.
Through all of the frenzy, the one thing that is essential to the bride is one person, a point person, who can delegate tasks and make decisions on small details. Ideally, this is the same person who can be honest and trustworthy in giving you feedback as to how your monstrous behavior is affecting the people around you.
Weddings are a celebration of love. Jitters are normal for any feeling and caring person. A trusted friend can act as an anchor in this time by helping to keep the bride grounded.
