Why can’t People go the Speed Limit when you are in a Hurry
Speed and road rage have become an all too common theme in today's lifestyles. How many of us have been deliberately cut off by another driver because they do not personally like one's driving style or speed? And they felt the need to teach each of us a lesson by showing their anger. This comes from personal experience from having been the passenger in a car driving north on I-95 and a person full of road rage deliberately rammed the our car off the road. Our car flipped several times before landing in a gully. Witnesses who came forth to tell the police what really happened were shocked to see the driver and I emerge from the vehicle alive. We were wearing seat belts. Unfortunately no one thought to chase down the angry driver and get the license's plate.
One of the reasons for road rage is being in a hurry all of the time. Sometimes it is simply a matter of scheduling a few less things in your day's schedule and leaving on time. At the same time all drivers need to be considerate and drive close to the speed limit for the safety of all the drivers on the road so that everyone can arrive safely. There is a reason for speed limits and everyone driving within a few miles of the speed limit should eliminate the need for the aforementioned road rage and everyone should be considerate drivers
There will always be something that occurs to slow people up from their destinations including slower drivers, construction and weather for examples. Allow time for any and all possible road conditions. It is sometimes a matter of allowing a few extra minutes for you and all others to arrive at your destinations safely. While we all need to drive around the same speed for each individuals safety we need to take into consideration different driving styles and drive accordingly and that includes patience from all drivers on the road.
There have been times where all of us have been on major highways which have a posted minimum speed limit as well as a maximum speed limit. That way all drivers drive around the same speed and hopefully all of us arrive to our destinations safely. What is the point of a person deliberately driving slow in the fast lane other than to irritate other driver? Could that not be a passive-aggressive sign of road rage? Therefore deliberately causing a potential road hazard. That is why there are speed limits on different roads to gauge the fastest speed to get from point A to point B safely.
People who are always in a hurry and criticize the driving of others need to assess the reason. Are they being self centered or are every other driver on the road and their rate of speed always wrong? It may not hurt anyone to drive with consideration of others in mind.
