What to Wear at Winter Weddings

From 3arf

Let me start by giving you a few details. My wife and I live in Utah. We chose to get married in the winter because we thought the snow would be beautiful with its soft white tones and shiny glisten. The place we decided to get married was on the canyon base and it always had plenty of fresh white snow in January. In fact I can't remember a time in my life where it hasn't had snow once it started coming down. I told my soon to be wife, dress warm, tell the family to dress warm, it gets fairly cold and they will be standing or sitting in about 1 to 2 feet of snow. You can probably tell by me building this story what happened next. You guessed it. Not a single speck of snow was to be found in our beautifully planned winter wedding. The grass was brown; the lights we dangled in the trees only illuminated the brown twiggy structures instead of reflecting off the snow. It looked more like a spring wedding then winter.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

You could say it was our warming hearts in love that eliminated any possible chance of snow! Or you could say that winter weddings are just simply unpredictable.

Of course our plans were for the outdoors, not typical for the common winter wedding. Wherever you choose to hold your wedding I give you two pieces of advice. First, It is better to overdress and be too warm (you can always shed a layer) than to be stuck chattering during the ceremony or other events. My other piece of advice is to try to hold the wedding during the day. This will make attending your wedding much easier and safe for those driving during the frosty season.

Truly it won't matter what you are wearing, what mishaps take place leading up to the wedding if you are truly in love and this is why. Guys, we don't care what we are wearing as long as our lady shows up looking beautiful. In fact we probably prefer someone just telling us what to show up in. The bridesmaids and groomsmen, there is a reason your outfits are only half flattering no matter what season it is. You aren't the star of this show. And for the bride, you are already perfect. Find the dress that you feel the most comfortable and pretty in and it won't matter which one you choose as long as you are happy.

To sum this article up, dress your heart with love, happiness, respect and unity, and your outer appearance will be just perfect!
