I have just recently starting working for West at Home Agent (www.workathomeagent.net). While being brand new to the company, I am finding that I am liking the work. The help desk people are nice and willing to help, and do not appear to mind receiving what must be simple or silly questions (I am new). And speaking with a variety of customers has proven to be fun, as well as simple.

Hiring on with West was not an easy task. I began the process right before they converted; everyone is now employees, and not independent contractors. Being an employee is a benefit to working for West, as you are ensured an hourly pay even during the times you are logged in but do not receive a call. While this rate is not large, it is better than making no money at all. And of course, if your calls and talk time equal more than the hourly rate, then you receive the larger of the two.

I was frustrated with the length of time it took to get my login information for the company I am working for through West. It was not a rapid process, but it was about two and a half weeks. That was two and a half weeks without pay. Very frustrating, but it made it all the more exciting when I did receive the login and knew I could begin working immediately.

I found the training to be easy for the company I am working with. There are a variety of companies to train on, so it is possible that the training is more intense with other companies, but overall, I found the training to be fairly easy and informative. Sometimes a little mind-boggling, and you may find you need some breaks for a breather, but it seems to go fairly well overall.

You may not make a large amount of money with West, but it is a reliable and legitimate job. And if you are working from home to save daycare costs, spend time with your kids, etc., then it may well be worth it.

If you apply with West, please understand the it will not always be a quick process. And as with any work from home job, make certain you weigh out the pros and cons. And if you feel this is for you, then go for it! I did, and I am enjoying it.
