An Overview of the Worst Online Survey Websites

From 3arf

The internet is full of survey sites that claim a person can make a lot of money. I have joined several of them expecting to make money online.  I am extremely disappointed in the sites I have joined.  Some are better than others are but none of them has lived up to what they advertise. They all advertise that I can make a living taking surveys. This is far from the truth.

Survey head is the worst. I have been a member of this online site for over a year and only made $12.00. As I have completed the survey’s I have thought that I would be paid in dollars. However once I reached the level where I can claim my rewards I find that all I have earned are crappy magazine subscriptions that I will never use.  They advertise themselves as sites where a person can earn money, it is not until a person goes to claim rewards to they find out that the rewards are magazines. There may be better rewards at a higher level but it is almost impossible to reach a higher level.

First, when I try to take a survey on Survey head I am asked qualifying questions, which is understandable. Sometimes the qualifying questions take at least ten minutes of my time though and then I am sent to the main page where I am told I did not qualify for the survey. If I am lucky enough to be directed to a survey, I may answer ten minutes of questions to be told I did not qualify for the survey again. There are times that I am told the quota for the survey has been met after I have answered ten minutes of questions.  Then there are times I am told specifically that I qualify for a survey and after answering several questions, I am told I did not qualify or the survey has met its quota of survey takers. I have even been sent to surveys where I have spent twenty minutes and almost finished the survey to be told that I do not qualify. They never compensate for the time I have spent not qualifying for the survey. I understand that they need to make sure a person meets certain criteria, but they should not tell a person he or she qualifies and then not allow the survey to be finished. Survey head is the worst for directing me to the survey, only for it to say I do not qualify after twenty minutes of answering questions.  I actually expect this every time I try to do a survey with this company.  Also, once I find I did not qualify for a survey they offer me a lot of junky stuff to buy.

Talkback Survey’s allows me to complete a few more surveys than Survey head but they also waste a lot of my time and I have the same issues with this company as I have had with Survey head. I also only earn rewards but since I have reached a higher level of income, I can actually request it paid to PayPal.

I have had the same issues with Talkback of thinking I am going to be able to complete a survey, spending several minutes on the survey only to be told I do not qualify. This would not be so annoying if I did not spend so much time on answering the questions. They need to find a way to compensate for the time a person spends, especially when that is at least ten minutes.  I rarely qualify for a survey.

Valued Opinions is another site that is very disappointing. They advertise that a person can make $5.00 per survey. This is false, most survey’s are worth $1.00 and once again I have answered many questions to find that I do not qualify for most survey’s. I have only made $12.50 in the two years I have been a member of this site.  Even though I have $12.50 in my reward account, I have only earned one dollar. This site is very hard to figure out and I have not earned enough there to even waste my time on the site.

Vindale Research is also deceiving. Their ad says that you earn $5.00 to $75.00 per survey. Rarely have I gotten a survey that is $5.00. I also have a problem with this site where I answer a lot of questions and think I am taking a survey to find that I do not qualify. I have only earned $37.00 in two years of being a member. The worst thing about this site is that to take a lot of surveys you have to spend money or download applications to your computer. One good thing about this site is that they do pay cash rewards.

Some survey sites are honest ways for people to make money however, the survey sites need to be more honest with people and let them know they will spend a lot of time on surveys and will not get paid for a lot of the questions they answer. So far I have not joined a survey site where I actually am paid for every survey I at least try to complete. It has been an extremely disappointing experience.
