Questions before a Road Trip

From 3arf

People drive off on road trips sometimes and actually end up turning around to go back because they have forgotten a kid!  The fact that this dose happened is not only a reason to count heads every time you get into the vehicle but it also dictates that it’s also a pretty good idea to make a check list of the questions every driver should ask before a road trip.  Here is a good list in random order:

10.  Do you have activities and games for the kids to play so you don’t have to hear those famous words, “Are we there yet?” over and over again?

11.  Do you have enough money for the road trip and back up money for all the unexpected and unpredictable things that could happen?

12.  Have you told someone reliable about your trip so they can keep tabs on your progress and notify the authorities with detailed information in case you go missing?  This is a scary question but it needs to be checked off the list for safety purposes.

13.  Is your cell phone charged, do you have a working car charger and will you have service on the road?  You can check off these points with your service provider and up grade your service just for the trip, if need be.

Everyone’s check list and every road trip are different so these are only the basic ideas.  What is important is the point that everyone should make their own lists based on their own specific variables.  Like, who is going?   Where are you going?  For how long are you going?  Where will you be stopping and resting?  What back up plans do you need to make?  And a remembrance of Murphy’s Law, “If something can happen, it will happen.”
