How to Avoid Scams

From 3arf

Scams are everywhere. From the fake Rolex store to the money making programs online which claims to teach you to make millions. People have been making millions from scams and will continue doing so because they know their victims will continue to fall into their trap.

You should try your best to avoid getting scammed and not be one of those victims that scammers make money from. There are many things that one can do to protect themselves against online.

Make sure your internet security is set to high. When making money online you will always have passwords and usernames which will be used to access websites and sites that you work for. These passwords are sensitive information and one way to protect other sites from gaining access to these are to set the internet security level high. This will prevent 3rd parties to access data and make it harder for hackers to break through.

Another thing you can do is to run a Spy ware removal software every morning before you get to work. It is sometimes impossible to stop a spyware but a spyware removal tool will get rid of the spyware if detected early. The first step to protect yourself from being scammed is to stop others from looking at your data.

Then, the actual scamming programs of making money come. Many programs claim that they will teach you how to make money within a few hours. But there are very few programs which actually do this. Just imagine why anyone would tell you how to make thousands of dollars in a few hours if they tell you their secret formula. Why wouldn't they continue using their formula and stop any competition by keeping it a secret.

Any site which seems too good to be true always has a catch. There are some decent programs and books out there which can actually help you, but you need your own ideas, prior knowledge and experience to actually make the program work for you. Many people end up paying a lot more for books and programs than they make.

An excellent way to learn about a new program or book is to read reviews of other people. You can read reviews on Helium and many other sites by just searching the program or book on a search engine. Many people have used this simple but powerful technique to avoid scams.

However, the evil scammers have found a way to pay other top ranking sites to write positive reviews. For this reasons it is best to ask a friend or read multiple reviews and come up with a conclusion for your own. If you see someone advertising the same product they are reviewing, then the review is probably misleading and a way to sell the product.

Read 5-10 reviews, ask friends/relatives, read the instructions and agreements. Some agreements state that there are no refunds and once you click "I agree"; there is nothing that can be done.

Scams will always be there, but there will also be ways to avoid them. Become street smart, worldly wise or whatever you want to call it; learn to protect yourself from scams.
