How being Overworked can Impact your Family Life
Have you ever felt like all you do is work all night and all day? If this sounds like you, it could be not only having an effect on your life as an individual, it could have a severe impact on your family life. You might feel as if you have no life, but your family is going to feel like you don't view them as an important part of your life either.
Your family will understand to a degree that you have to work an earn a living. If it wasn't for your going to work every day, it would be hard for the family to subside unless they were on food stamps and begging people for food. It is a good thing that you are working. However, it does become a problem if you don't have any time at all for your family.
Your children are going to want to see their mommy or daddy, or maybe your wife wants to go out and have dinner with you or with the family all together. As a child myself at one time, I know how important it can be for mothers to have the entire family out for dinner, or at least together at the same time. If you are at work 20 hours a day, it will not be possible.
Eventually your family is going to want someone who will actually be around them. It might be acceptable to them that you are working, and that you are a hard worker, but to what end does your family support you? What happens when you have to miss all the little league games, the dance recitals and trick or treating on Halloween?
If you aren't able to be around your family, it might lead to the crumbling of your family. You have to make sure that you are able to spend some time with them because your family is the part of your life that should be the most important. Money is great, but money without love is nothing to be proud of. Who wants to be lonely in the pursuit of something better?
Don't spend your whole life at work because it won't get you where your want to go. Just look at Ebenezer Scrooge as a prime example as why you don't want to spend your whole life chasing money. Work as hard as you can, but remember that it is people that are going to make your working hard worth going to work int he first place.
