Honda Odyssey 2010 and Kia Sedona 2010 Comparison Features Pricing
In comparing the Honda Odyssey with the Kia Sedona, first notes are that Honda Odyssey received "Best New Family Vehicle for 2009" and best resale value in a van category distinctions from Kelly Blue book. Odyssey also carries a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 5-star rating. Kia Sedona carries a NHTSA 5-star rating as well.

Starting MSRP for 2010 Honda Odyssey DX is $31,690. This trim has a 4-valve 3.5L engine with 244 hp @ 5750 rpm; and is an automatic, 5-speed, with a 30 month 60,000 mile warranty.
Starting MSRP for 2010 Honda Odyssey Touring is $49,690. This trim has a 4-valve 3.5L engine with 241 hp @ 5700 rpm; and is an automatic, 5-speed, with a 30 month 60,000 mile warranty.
So far it is plain to see Honda Odyssey high end and low end prices are higher than Kia Sedona's. The Odyssey engines also have less torque and shorter warranty periods for both the high end and low end trims.
Honda's current slogan suggests everyone knows someone who is in love with their Honda. With this in mind, let us examine a few features the 2010 Kia Sedona and 2010 Honda Odyssey have in common:

According with these important similarities Sedona is hanging tough with Odyssey!

- Audio system with AM/FM satellite radio and satellite linked navigation system that includes rearview camera and voice recognition - Kia seems to be lacking in the entertainment department for their luxury minivan!

- DVD with Rear Entertainment System - Sedona did not mention this feature!
- HandsFreeLink Bluetooth - Sedona did not mention this feature!
- Driver Seat and Mirrors with memory - Sedona did not mention this feature!
All four trims have virtually the same size interior with the Honda Odyssey Touring providing the most overall space. None of these trims offer antitheft protection in their basic package. Starting MSRP and features may vary depending on location.
Honda Odyssey and Kia Sedona have features the other does not have. This is even more true for the high end minivans than for the lower end trims. In getting back to Honda's claim that everyone knows someone who loves their Honda - well this just might be true. Although Honda Odyssey tends to be more expensive than Kia Sedona; and despite Sedona offering better warranties than Odyssey, when people are in their vehicles, they are bound to enjoy the additional luxuries Odyssey offers that Sedona does not have.
