Displaying Christmas Cards in Innovative Ways
Christmas cards are a beautiful way to show unique sentiment to friends and loved ones. They make beautiful decorations if they are innovatively displayed around the house. There are several innovative ways to display Christmas cards.
A hanging garland is one way to display Christmas cards. A Garland is bright and colorful; it makes an excellent decoration itself. Hang the garland around the living room from one end of the wall to the other. Do this around the whole room. Then make loops in the garland using tacks. Christmas cards can be displayed by hanging them on the garland. This leaves room on shelves and walls for other decorations and is a wonderful way to display the cards for everyone to see.
A cardholder made out of a child or adult handprint is another innovative way to display Christmas cards. Not many items are needed for this project, just craft foam, crafters glue, ribbon, green craft paint, and glitter. First, trace the hand on craft foam. Next glue clothespins on each finger with the clip side up. Let the clothes pins dry and then decorate the hand with glitter. Paint the clothespins and allow that step to dry. Last, glue a ribbon to the back of the hand so that the cardholder can hang on the wall. It is that simple. Now you have a very special Christmas card holder. Several of these cardholders can be made so that each family member has his or her own special cardholder.
Christmas cards make a beautiful wreath. Use sturdy poster board and cut it in the shape of a wreath. The wreath can be green or any other color that is desired. Green is best since a traditional wreath is green. Once the wreath is cut out, glue a ribbon to the back of it so that it can hang on the wall. As you get cards, attach them to the wreath with glue.
