Chevrolet Corvette 2010

From 3arf

Chevrolet, an American company with a proud history, have undergone a renovation of sorts lately and it shows in their new vehicles. From the iconic Camaro to the beastly Corvette, Chevrolet have rejoined the their rivals at the top of the car market. Handling has been tightened and more care has been put into the manufacturing, meaning that Chevrolet is a brand to be proud of once more.Returning in 2010 is the Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet’s premium world-class sports car has been updated and drastically improved over the years and could now be ready to challenge the more well established names in the business. The exterior of this car is a rather stunning piece of work. Chevrolet have excelled themselves here. The Corvette looks like it can fly before you even turn the engine on. The styling has all the hallmarks of a world-class sports car with its smooth curves, long body and flowing lines. Chevrolet should be proud of themselves here. The cockpit of the corvette is not exactly mind blowing but it is smart and attractive and does its job admirably without ever matching the beauty of the exterior. Just like the Camaro, the Corvette has landed firmly in the modern era and one can tell just by looking at it.The car comes with rear-wheel drive as standard across all models, again, adding to the more modern feel of the Corvette. Also, like the Camaro, the Corvette will come with both a six-speed automatic and a six-speed manual. It will be available as a coupe or a convertible, both of which have their merits, and will fit only two passengers.Fuel economy seems to be at the top of the Chevrolet priority list. We saw the Camaro get around 30mpg and this beastly Corvette will get around 25 mpg, which is pretty decent considering the power this car can unleash.Talking about power, perhaps now is the time to mention what it can store under its hood. The Corvette comes with a 6.2 litre V-8 as standard that can produce around 430 or 435bhp. That is pretty good in itself, however, also on option is the mighty 6.2 litre supercharged LS9 V-8 engine that can power out around 638bhp, pushing the Corvette all the way up to, and over, 200mph. That is truly astonishing. There is also the 7 litre V-8, 505bhp engine that is available to those who want a little more than the standard but perhaps cannot afford, or handle the might that the supercharged LS9 can produce. The price for this untamed beast? Very reasonable in fact. The Corvette starts at around $50,000, which is amazing value for money when you consider the pedigree of this car and the improvements that have been made. The price can get up to around $115,000, which will include that massive engine and all the extras. Again, that is fantastic value for money. You are getting supercar performance for sports car prices. The Corvette screams its way in 2010 in style. The engineering has been improved, as has the manufacturing and the Corvette is now an excellent alternative to the much more expensive supercars that are out there. The style is gorgeous on the outside, and well designed on the inside. This car handles properly these days also. An excellent car indeed.
