ALT-3 Road Rage

From 3arf

I think all can agree that left lane hogs are some of the most annoying of all drivers. These law abiding people wouldn't think of exceeding the speed limit and for some unknown reason think that the right hand lanes are beneath them. So there they are driving at just barely the speed limit tying up the passing lane causing traffic to back up behind them until other drivers in frustration try passing on the right. Why do they do it? Perhaps, they feel safer staying away from cars entering the expressway. Maybe they feel obligated to keep the rest of us driving below the speed limit. It could be that some of them just aren't paying attention until another driver rides their bumper for awhile and they get the hint and move over. What ever their reasoning, left lane hogs leave accidents, road rage and frazzled nerves in their wake.Next to the left lane hogs, the most annoying drivers are found in parking lots waiting for parking places to open up. The rule should be; drive around the lot until you see an opening and then pull into it, not sit and wait while someone unloads their purchases and packs their kids in the car while the rest of us looking for a parking spot and can only queue up behind you. Remember when you were little and played musical chairs? We were all taught that game for a reason, to prepare us for getting parking spots! If the spot isn't open when you get to it then keep circling, and if it is open then for pity sakes pull, don't back into it, and let the rest of us keep moving. There is no reason for a parking lot to have grid lock! Finally, we come to those people in the car behind ours who feel they have the right to decide for us when it's safe to pull out into traffic and let us know of their decision by blowing their horns. I suspect that these are the same people who blow their horns at my car the millisecond the light changes to green. I guess I am not suppose to take a second to see if a car is going to run the red light and plow into me. Please, since I am the one whose life could hang in the balance and the one who pays for my car's insurance, I should be the one to decide if I have enough room to pull out.If only we could all use common sense and a little consideration the world would move along so much smoother.
