If you are planning on having turkey for Thanksgiving, you might want to try something a little different this year. Turkey doesn’t have to be stuffed and roasted. Of course, the traditional way of preparing the turkey is in the oven, but many people have found that a faster and, some say, more flavorful way of preparing this meat is deep frying. Advocates of the deep frying method claim that the bird is juicier and more flavorful fried in peanut oil. Since turkey fryers came on the market several years ago, people have been deep frying their Thanksgiving dinner. While early models required that you do this outside of the home, newer versions can actually be used in the kitchen. The process cuts the cooking time by hours.Regardless of how it is prepared, there are some who don’t really like sliced turkey, even with gravy. They prefer to have their turkey in casseroles or even stir fried. Or,if your family only cares for certain parts of the turkey, drumsticks, and of course, breasts, are available, fresh or frozen, to deep fry, roast, or broil.In the long run, Thanksgiving turkey should be served to your family the way that they like it best. There is no right or wrong way to serve your turkey, as long as it’s cooked thoroughly, and it is tasty.
