ALT-2 The Characteristics of a Good Teacher

From 3arf

If someone ask me, what it takes for the characteristics of a good teacher, first of all our very first teacher are our parents. Growing up I had some good teacher; one who is dedication to teaching, someone who is welling to show you how do something, until you get it. I have a learning disability, where you learn slower then other students.

If I had to say, who was my best school teacher it would be Mr.Norwood. He didn't buy that garbage, that you treat the handicap differently then everyone else, Yes he made provisions. When we make provision, lets say some one needs a little extra help, they should get it. Suppose you are teaching math, and Johnny over hear gets it, Susie on the other hand, needs some one to take the time, and show her step by step, three or four times before she gets it.

Also having other kids from other class help us with our reading. Will show them what we can do. I think tutors are a good thing. they also help people to achieve their goals. Suppose I had trouble writing anything on paper that made any kind of sense. People who have trouble reading also have trouble writing.

Also I am going to adult basic education class which is helping me a lot. I am taking grammar and math. The teacher are helpful. I used to use a college wester talking dictionary. This little machine that I used had everything in it: dictionary, Thesaurus, calculator, confusable words, even the impolite words. OK my tutor doesn't want me using it.

When you see the toys to teach little kids their ABC, or simple words do you every ask yourself what if I got the wrong. Many time I see what it dose if get answer right, and then I will purposely put in a wrong answer, to see what it dose. Lets say it the game is teaching the ABC's, A b C what comes next I type in D . voice said your correct

now A B C D E F what is next OK what happens if I give it wrong answer, so I type R. No try again

so I give another wrong answer to see what happens. So I type in a D No the correct answer is G.

When I went to camp reap which stands of Reaction Education Accept ion Program. It was a camp for people with learning disability, and we once made homemade ice-cream in the class room; which was lots of fun. We had gym, and swimming and a little school work. one day we made butter, is were you beat the heavy cream and once its whip cream you keep beating until its butter.
