ALT-2 Most Influential Motorcycle Movies of all Time

From 3arf

Movies are a wonderful thing. Some of them are very influential with their props and make you want to go out and get what it is everyone has in the movie. Motorcycles movies are no exception. The most influential motorcycle movies of all time, will not be the same for everyone, that is for sure. We all have our likes and dislikes, however, these movies to me are very influential motorcycle movies.Easy Rider    Movie from 1969The aim of achieving freedom is what these two counterculture bikers want as they travel from Los Angeles to New Orleans. This movie explores many different things such as the rise and fall of the hippie movement, drug use and different lifestyles. The two hippies are referred to as Wyatt Earp and Billie the kid. Wyatt dresses in leather that is adorned with the American flag, while Billie dresses in Native American clothing, buckskin pants and shirt.Of course the leather clothing gets the bad rap, and the native clothing is looked upon as good. They have a horrible trip and encounter many bad things along the way with drugs. They get beat up and in the end get shot and you see the fiery motor cycle in the middle of the deserted road.Wild Hogs   Movie from 2007This is a movie about a bunch of middle-aged friends who take a breather from the stressful jobs they have and go on a trip. Wanting to feel the freedom from the open road, they actually go on an adventure they will always remember for the rest of their lives. They are a very mismatched group, and the trip challenges them and their wits. They run into a real life biker gang who is not impressed with them at all. Looking for adventure is nothing, compared to what they thought it was going to be.Top Gun   Movie from 2007This movie with Tom Cruise is one that to me seems influential in the way that he rides his Kawasaki when he is not piloting his fighter jet. The music that plays when he rides and the feelings that are portrayed really make you feel the freedom of riding in the wind. The way he rides off and the way it shows him riding off from the instructor’s house that he was in love with, just makes you want to own a bike. Even Tom Cruise who had never rode before this movie was so hooked he started buying bikes of his own and has owned them since.Motorcycle movies are a great thing to watch. They give you the feeling of exhilaration. They can give you the feeling of rebellion. We all have a side of us that wants to be bad. They can be very influential to the public just like anything else can. They make you want to own a motorcycle when you see how the characters are enjoying their ride and you see how they are riding in the wind, feeling the freedom of the open road.
