ALT-1 What Abilities must you have to become a Teacher
THE TEACHER
The primary requisite for a teacher is awareness of his responsibilities. A teacher is one who knows what he teaches. In other words he should mean what he teaches and believe in his own concept before making others to learn. He should be sure that he has the conviction of what he believes and experienced himself. In general terms teacher is considered as someone sitting in the class room and imparting lessons whether he has himself understood what he professes.
Jesus Christ was a great teacher and he is accepted as teacher by the majority of human population. So are prophets who have manifested themselves in human form to teach the erring humanity. Mohammed, Zoroaster, Buddha and several others have professed their faith and brought with them a huge following. They were teachers and they conveyed their messag.It tested the faith of people who began worshipping them and thus religions have grown.
Here in this article the focus is the teacher in the university or a a college or school. Mother is the first teacher of the child. She tells the child showing the child's father and that the child deserves his respect, love and gratitude for giving life, the leader in the family. She teaches the first articulation of speech. Later the child is put under the care of a teacher in the school or a daycare institution and school and the evolution takes place. The teacher commands respect for his knowledge and experience both by his qualifications, experience and his confidence to handle.
In a class room situation, as he enters he should have the ability to electrify his class like the light that is switched on in utter darkness. He should create that effect and there must be not only the illumination by his presence but there should be warmth of love permeating the class room. The faces of the children should be lit and there should be joy bubbling in the faces of students but also the teacher gives them the benefit of his knowledge, experience and his abilities. He should forget that he is paid for the job but be be thankful to Go for having this privilege of sharing his knowledge.
The main feature of a teacher is not only the qualification he should possess but experience e, the love for teaching and the confidence to build upo the career of those who become his products. How happy the teacher will feel when an old student comes to meet him and expresses his gratitude delight to be in his presence!
