ALT-1 Ways Teenagers can Show their Appreciation on Fathers Day
Father's Day is only a once-a-year affair so it makes sense to show dad how much he is appreciated on the day set aside to honor all fathers.
Here are 6 ways teenagers can show their appreciation on Father's Day:
(1) Take dad to his favorite restaurant. And this doesn't have to be a 5-star restaurant either; a family-oriented one would do just fine. Just by checking the yellow pages, you should be able to find plenty such restaurants listed there. Also, when you are through wining and dining the old man, don't forget to treat him to a movie.
(2) Take dad to the movies. Watching Dad's favorite movie while sitting beside him in the theater of your choice can be cosy and fun. It can also be a time of sharing those all-important previous moments with the man that you have come to love.
(3) Go to a baseball game. Watching your hometown team clobber their arch-rival is always a welcomed reprieve from a dreary day; so sitting beside dad in the stands will give you the incentive to go the extra mile.
(4) Going to the roller dome or rink. Skating has become one of the popular pastimes for fathers and their teenage sons to bond. So why not treat dad to fun-filled time at the skating rink by showing the old man what you're made of. You never know what other more fun-filled ideas can come out of your time together.
(5) Be Diplomatic. Don't let dad take up the slack and pay the tab, but show him that that Sunday in June is his day; consequently, politely refuse any gratuities that dad has to offer.
(6) Attend worship service. Before you indulge into any of the aforementioned activites, you should attend a worship service at the church of your choice. It is nothing like listening to a Father's Day sermon that will inspire you to do any more and better things with your father. So make that day in June a day that father will never forget. And you will be one proud son or daughter for having shared that day with dad.
Finally, the aforementioned is only a partial list. There are a myraid things that you can do with dad on that most aupicious day of your life. Remember, be creative and you may come up with even more things that you can do with dear, old dad.
