ALT-1 Us Highways Benefits of Toll Roads
Toll roads are a total sham perpetrated against the American people by corrupt state agencies. The idea of roads that bypass traffic congestion, and shave travel time to a minimum is a worthy concept, but why are American citizens being double charged for the use of these roads? Unfortunately, toll roads are not limited to new road construction. Roads that have already been financed and constructed, with the use of taxpayer dollars, are also being confiscated and tolled.
American automobile travel is based on the "freeway" system. Now, the freeway system and the American way of travel are under attack through the construction of toll roads. American citizens pay taxes on their roadways that cover the expense of construction and maintenance! Presently, Americans are told that our freeway system no longer works, and for a road to be environmentally friendly, have proper planning, financing, construction, and maintenance, that the road must be a toll road...nothing could be further from the truth! The amount of money generated by toll roads has the potential of being beneficial for a state, if not for the fact that foreign government owned companies are being sold the rights of ownership! The American people do not even have ownership of these "toll roads" on American soil!
The state is enticing the American public to participate in this "highway-robbery", by offering non-stop tolling, through the issue of a "toll tag". The "toll tag" ensures that citizens will also be tracked and traced everywhere they travel. If you are a fan of privacy, "toll tags" are a HUGE problem! The state even invites citizens to take the toll roads if they don't have cash or a "toll tag", by using the most expensive method of paying...via mail!
Several new laws have been enacted to ensure these foreign companies receive each and every payment on all toll roads. Not paying a toll is a misdemeanor offense. If a violator wishes to have a toll violation cleared from their driving record, they must pay the original toll, and between $25 and $100 for "administrative fees"! If a court hearing is necessary to obtain payment, a fine of $250 per violation plus court costs will be charged! When "small things" such as our rights, or existing laws get in the way, our elected officials simply change the laws, or pass new laws to help perpetuate their plans. In the past five years, many new driving laws have been enacted, and if you happen to be unaware of these new laws and regulations, be sure to take the initiative and inform yourself, otherwise, the issue of a citation is your only notification!
