One day you come to the conclusion that you must quit your job because you cannot stand working for your employer. As the days pass you begin to have doubts about being able to find a new job due to the fact that there are few, if any, jobs available in your area.
You need the money that you earn and if you end up unemployed you will soon be homeless, on the street with nothing to eat. Therefore, you must find ways in which to remain employed, even if each working day seems like an eternity.
Those ways are known as alternatives to quitting your job. Every person needs hope for a better life. Otherwise, there is not much that you have to look forward to as time passes.
You might want to go to night school for the purpose of learning a trade or a profession. If making more money is just your goal you could be wasting your time. The reason being is that sooner or later you will find yourself in the same situation of wanting to quit your job. Instead of just thinking about it you must do it.
How many people are truly happy with the job that they have, in terms of job satisfaction, the amount of money they earn and the working conditions within the place in which they are employed? Do you have an opportunity to receive a promotion and thus earn more money?
Quitting your job and having to find new employment is a life changing event. Being fired is a life changing event. If your employer fires you because of your lack of interest in the work that you have to complete it will be harder to find that new job. So, you must continue to do the work without any mistakes. You might even have to be better at your job than any other person, who has similar tasks to do, each day.
You can talk to your boss about improving your job skills. There might be a program within the place where you work for being compensated for going to school to learn a different job within the place where you work.
How long have you been employed for the same employer? If any person can easily do the work that you do if you ask your boss for a pay increase there is a good chance that you will be replaced because your boss now knows that you are unhappy for one reason or another.
The above are just a few alternatives and possible outcomes for simply just quitting your job. The last alternative is if you can afford to be unemployed for an unknown period of time. When in doubt just remember that it is better to be unhappily employed than it is to be unemployed.
