ALT-1 Driving

From 3arf

Sooner or later, those of you who take your eyes off the road for more than a few seconds at a time will most likely be involved in some kind of a motor vehicle accident. As a matter of fact, it really does not matter what you do that distracts you from the safe and proper operation of your motor vehicle. Clearly, every driver must be a defensive driver, in order to reduce the ever growing number of needless traffic accidents.

Without the proper and responsible control of that machine, you could very well kill or injure another living thing, including yourself and those who are passengers. Then again, the resulting law suit could very well cause you to lose everything that you have, including your home, personal property, family, job and you could become a homeless person.

Keep in mind that more than a few people spent more than a few years in prison, due to one careless act that was ruled to be negligent homicide. That much is true and from a moral point of view, how will you feel after you accidentally kill another Human Being? Many people really do have a difficult time dealing with the guilt associated with such an event.

Therefore, you should do your very best to responsibly drive any motor vehicle because you will most certainly lose a whole lot more besides your property. One careless act could also end your life.

My advice to you is that you keep a copy of this story and read it each time you are about to enter your motor vehicle and drive to someplace, wherever that place might be. On the other hand, you can make a list of those things that you should never do if you are in control of a moving motor vehicle. The following are a few helpful suggestions for your consideration.

Never stare at the homeless people along the roadside. Never window shop from the comfort of your moving motor vehicle. Never place phone calls or text message while you are moving. Never allow a passenger to distract you while you are driving. Change a radio station and/or load music media into your player only after you come to a stop.

If that is not enough to make you think about the possible consequences of your careless behavior, you should never swig booze from a bottle, can, glass or any other container as you merrily proceed to your destination. Even if you suck the liquid through a straw you still can get mighty drunk and pass out before you are aware of the fact that you drank too much. Keep in mind that a fool and his or her drivers license is soon parted.
