2010 Ford Fusion
Keeping Ford in the game means being a player in the car business. Up until recently Toyota and Honda have dominated the car market with out little competition but that all changed when Ford came to market with the Ford Fusion. It's now 2010 things have really changed.Jalopnik.comstates it best, "It's product like this that's going to give the American car industry a future." The 2010 Ford Fusion has not let that statement be overrated.
Powertrain
With three engines and a hybrid to choose from, you are able to get the Fusion that fits you. Yes it's like Ford created a Fusion with you in mind. The base engine is a 2.5L I4, up from a 2.3L I4 in previous years, producing 175 horsepower. How does that compare with other makes in this class, really does it matter? This is a good looking fun to drive sedan. The next step is a 3.0L V6 producing a 240 horsepower an increase from last year. Now if you like more a sporty car then the Fusion Sport with a 3.5L V6 will do the trick. This engine produces 263 horsepower, making the everyday normal drive not so normal. Ok so you want 41 mpg in the city but don't to drive a Prius then the Fusion Hybrid is the one for you. The powertrain is an Atkinson Cycle 4 cylinder engine producing 191 horsepower. This is eco-friendly and fun.
Model Lineup
Inside the 2010 Ford Fusion is a comfortable cockpit in which every model you choose. It all starts with the Fusion S. This is the base model that has the power windows, locks, & keyless entry remotes as standard equipment. This sounds trivial but in all reality is a plus when considering other imports. Move up to the Fusion SE and you'll add power seat and Sirius radio. If you still want the Ford Fusion has an SEL model that will give you leather seats with heated seats and the almost infamous Sync technology. As stated previously Ford has put together a Fusion Sport giving you an engine upgrade as well as unique leather and Sync system. Each model has available package upgrades to help make each model yours.
Game Changing Technology
Remember the almost infamous Sync technology that was mentioned? Ford continues to improve the system despite the advances in technology that the public hasn't quite grasped yet. Sync offers the ability to send and receive phones calls just like any other Bluetooth technology but adds extra goodies that competes if not out shines Onstar. One of those is it's TDI (traffic, directions, & information). TDI allows you to get traffic updates sent to your paired phone by text or email, get turn by turn directions to a desired place, and/or get information about sports teams, movie times, stocks, and etecera. Instead of being complimentary for one year, it is complimentary for three. Another feature of Sync is 911 Assist. 911 Assist will call directly to 911 in certain vehicle crashes. The Sync system can be easily updated any time there is a software upgrade. You just go toSyncmyride.com, plug up a USB drive to download, and then put the USB drive into the car to upload the update.
