2010 Ford F250

From 3arf

Built Ford Tough.  It is a slogan used by Ford to describe their trucks and with good right.  The manufacturer has remained the number one selling truck for over 32 years and counting.  While other manufacturers are slowing the production of their trucks, Ford Motor Company remains in the truck business.  The 2010 Ford F-250 proves Ford is not giving up on the truck market.  They continue to deliver what the customer wants.

One Tough Truck

The Ford F-250 has the suspension underneath it to handle to tough jobs.  Ford uses a robust mono-beam front suspension.  The mono-beam is the biggest in it's class with a twin coil spring setup that begs to be driven like a truck but drives very well for such a beefed up suspension.  As far as suspension goes the rear as 3" leaf springs that were lengthen 8" in 2009 to give a better ride while still being able to handle the heavy load this truck is known for carrying.  The F-250 has three different engines to choose from, the 5.4L V-8, 6.8L V-10, and the 6.4L Powerstroke Diesel.  Each engine has it's own purpose in the lineup.  If you need a little heavier truck the 5.4L will do the job, for bigger jobs the V-10 or Powerstroke will be glad to take on the challenge.  It's doesn't carry the leader title for nothing.

Technology

Ford's thinking was, if you are going to be the leader you need to lead.  So, in addition to having a tough truck, Ford makes functional extras made for anyone.  Whether you are going to use the truck as a daily driver or strictly for work, there is an option that will sing to your heart.  For the worker bee there is the Ford Work Solutions.  With the Ford Work Solutions you can get either an on board computer, a tracking device for your tools, or even a tracking device for your worker's trucks.  Very ground breaking equipment designed to fit your commercial needs.  If you are just using this truck as a daily driver the Sync from Microsoft will come in handy.  This system not only has bluetooth capability for your phone it also has several other features like 911 assist and a "navigation" type turn by turn directions feature.  Ford took the box and through it out the window with these type features, really user friendly.

Style

The Ford F-250 has not changed very much in last few years.  Matter of fact the sheet metal from back of the cab hasn't taken a different form since 1998.  The reason is that the truck is used by so many, for so many different reasons that it almost had to keep the same shape to allow it to fit most applications.  The front however made a change in 2009 that represents the bold look of Ford's bar grille.  They added a raised hood giving it a tough presence.

Although the Ford Powerstroke engine has had a few problems during the last few years, Ford still remains the most sought after 3/4 ton truck.  The government will keep putting tighter and tighter restrictions on the diesels creating more and more problems but Ford will continue to make a truck that customers want.  That will keep the loyalty of the brand high and the number one selling truck will remain number one.
