Where to Find Gourmet Chocolate Easter Bunnies

Chocolate comes in all shapes for Easter.

Bunnies, chicks, egg shapes - such as in the case of those much adored Cadbury confections - and even crosses can be found in candy shoppes the world over at this sacred season.

The cheap stuff can be located on the shelves of dollar and big boxes like Target and DollarTree, whilst the better stuff can be sniffed out at  check out points in the likes of department stores, Dillards and Neiman Marcus, just to name two!

Godiva had become a name associated with chocolate delectability, categorically speaking. (Palmer, with affordability.)

Still, there remain dozens and dozens of privately owned chocolatery houses that produce these wonderful morsels en mass three hundred sixty five days a year and, - although they charge a pretty penny for them, you can be certain that the best ingredients, as well as a lot 'o love, has gone into making them!

Custom creations can be pre-ordered ahead of the big day and some may even be personalized for the eventual recipient.

For the best result and to ensure a quality product and your customer satisfaction, it is preferred that you check around for recommendations. If that is not practical, look in the phone book or on the Internet. Search under chocolate or candy. Most cities of any size will have at least one or two chocolate factories where the candy is made right on the premises.

These wonderful shoppes may be located off the beaten path and not in larger, more commonly traveled shopping strips or local malls. They are generally not franchises, but are owned by independent entrepreneurs, families that have been plying their trade for decades or, even generations.

Once you find a shop and venture inside, ask to sample a morsel. Most clerks behind the counter will not object. After all, they want to sell you on their delicious creations. Ask about the ingredients used. Are they fresh? Are they natural?

If you are not to have sucrose, there are chocolates (and fudge) that is made with fructose (fruit juice) in place of refined granular cane sugar. It has a somewhat different consistency, but is sweet nonetheless.

There is a wonderful chocolate house where I am living by the name of Bruno's. It has been in the area for more than 30 years and is highly respected, yet still retains a rather low profile. That's okay with me.

Not every one can be a true connoisseur of fine chocolate!
