Website Review Thanksgivingcom

Hum, let's see. Maybe there is a website that will help me plan my Thanksgiving Day Celebration. Maybe it will have decorating ideas, centerpiece ideas, and new twists on traditional recipes, or maybe even recipes for dishes I would never have associated with Thanksgiving. Maybe it will be pretty, informative and easy to navigate.Oh, look. Here's one. Thanksgiving.com. I'll click on that one and check it out. Nice, impressive home page. Colorful graphics that change: a picture of the perfect pie, a pretty little girl sitting at a beautifully set Thanksgiving Dinner Table,a nicely browned Thanksgiving Turkey just waiting to be carved. Why, it even says right there at the top of the page: the site for ALL your Thanksgiving needs. And look how nicely it is categorized. All these links on the left side are so clearly defined, too. Thanksgiving. Recipes. Smoked Turkey. Smoked Ham. Flowers. Travel. Gifts. Cards. Wow! This truly must be one comprehensive site! After all, where else could I find a site that would tell me how to make Smoked Turkey and travel arrangements all in one easy to use place?I'll just click on Recipes and see what I get. Wait. What's this? More links to more websites for Thanksgiving recipes? And most of these don't even look like Thanksgiving recipes. These are just generic recipe sites! I've gone through the first 5 on the list and have yet to see one Thanksgiving recipe! In fact, one is an offer for a recipe toolbar, one is an ad for a Betty Crocker app for your iPhone, one is a spice store and one is a Ziploc Gift Pack Giveaway site. Of the five I have checked out, only one is actually a recipe site. And that one is Eggbeaters.com! Not exactly a Thanksgiving recipe site.Okay, benefit of the doubt time. I'll click on Smoked Turkey and see what comes up. Right. Like I should have expected anything else. Ads for other websites where I can order Smoked Turkeys. What a waste of time this website is. I'm outta here!Thanksgiving.com is one of those sites I like to call cheater sites. It dupes you into thinking you have stumbled on the greatest thing in the world for about 15 seconds. It appears to have been created by someone who really couldn't be bothered with actually creating a website, but wants to be called a website creator. It is nothing more than an extremely poorly executed Thanksgiving search engine. My advice? Don't waste your time. Unless, of course, you like to feel cheated and disappointed.
