Volkswagen Gti 2010

From 3arf

Volkswagen have risen to become one of the front runners in the car industry. Whilst they have no supercar, to draw in the crowds of jealous onlookers, or a massively popular sports-car, they do make everyday cars better than most. Sedans, SUV’s and hatchbacks are the lifeblood of this German company. Bringing some redesigned models to the table in 2010, there is no reason why Volkswagen can’t carry their success into this new decade. The new GTI is an impressive car all round and comes with a new look for 2010. The sporty version of the Golf looks fantastic and its inner workings are something to marvel at as well. The GTI is the less practical, less sensible, but much more fun version of the Golf and should be a great hit.Much like the new Golf, the 2010 GTI looks meaner, more modern and more attractive. The “mono-brow” feature on the front of the car looks great and the lower grille looks like a mouth snarling as the car tears up the tarmac. The interior is slightly more elaborate than that of the Golf. It is attractive and smart, if not a little bit simple. The quality of materials have been improved which, other than making the interior feel more luxurious, also do a good job of keeping sound out.The engine is unchanged from the GTI’s last outing and it still impresses. The 2 litre turbo I-4 can is capable of around 200bhp which, on a car so small and agile, should provide any driver with enough speed. Whilst the power is similar, the fuel economy has been improved for 2010. The GTI can now get up to around 30 mpg. This is a little less than the impressive figures the Golf commands, but it is still good. This speedy hatchback should sit five passengers comfortably and comes with front-wheel drive. The safety features, much like in the Golf, are great. ABS is included, along with front and side air bags. There is no option for rear side airbags as in the Golf, but this car is not supposed to be as safe and as practical as the Golf. Traction control and stability control are also included. The price for the new GTI? Very, very reasonable. In fact it is a fantastic price. Starting at around 24,000 pounds, the GTI should cost you no more than 26,000. There are only a few options available and none of them drastically change the driving experience. The GTI is a brilliant car. It is speedy, reliable and very well manufactured. The Germans really do make top quality cars and it is no different here. It looks great, drives fantastically well and provides the driver with a lot of fun. The interior is also attractive and looks far more luxurious than it probably is. The mileage is respectable and its size disguises how decent the room is inside the cockpit and the boot - a brilliant little hatchback.
