Wedding traditions around the world can vary from white wedding dresses to not getting married on Tuesday.All around the world there are many unusual wedding traditions and im about to inform you of some.

In Malaysia the groom and bride is not allowed to go to the bathroom seventy two hours before the wedding.This is a tradition of the Tidong people.This tradition has been going on for centuries.During these seventy two hours the bride to be and future groom are starved and given little to no water.The belief of this is that if the couple survives this they believe that it will prepare them for marriage and none of the children that they will have will die.

In Mauritnia they have a tradition called fattening the bride.At young age females are sent to "fat farms".Where they're forced to eat so much food until you vomit and after you throw up your then forced to eat that vomit.This tradition or practice  is called Leblouh.In this part of the world the fatter the woman the better.Leblouh is mostly practiced in Africa.

In the Philippines the lasso and veil are part of special prayer ceremony in which the bride and groom are both lassoed with a white circle of a satin cord over their heads and around their shoulders while they are knelled in prayer binding them in holy matrimony.

In Ireland while the bride is dancing with the groom she must keep her feet on the floor to make sure that little fairies captivated by the brides beauty wont kidnap her.

In India certain females must marry a tree before marrying their real husband.Women born when Saturn and Mars are both under the 7th astrological house are know as manglicks.Manglicks are supposedly cursed to have their marriage ending in death.Marrying a tree is said to remove the curse.Before the bride is able to marry her real groom to be the tree must be cut down thus removing this curse.

In Russia grooms have to pay to see their bride.Their family blocks the way to her house while making the groom answer ridiculous questions and riddles.If he answers correctly hes allowed to move one step closer to his bride to be.

In Samoa the brides dress is made from the bark of the mulberry tree.
