Two Year old Birthday

From 3arf

There are few things that are more fun than planning a birthday party for your little two year old princess.  At this age, they are old enough to really recognize what's going on and enjoy it.  They are even old enough to participate in many of the festivities, while the year before they probably mostly watched while you helped them with everything.  Coming up with a theme can be a little bit harder than the previous year, simply due to the fact that there are many ready made themes for one year birthday parties, but it can be hard to know which themes are truly appropriate for a two year old, as many of them seem to be for older girls.  Any theme, however, can be adapted for a younger child.

Try a Disney theme.  Disney has many themes that work for little girls birthday parties.  Disney Princesses is of course one of the most popular.  For this theme, you can make a cake that is shaped like a crown or a castle.  Have a tiara for your little one to wear.  You can even buy her favorite Disney Princess costume for her to wear.  Disney Fairies also work well and lend themselves to this.  Have a wand instead of a tiara.  For a cake, you may want to have flowers or butterflies, both of which are easy to make.  Winnie the Pooh is good for little boys or girls at this age, as is Mickey Mouse and friends.

If you are not a fan of Disney, there are still themes that you may consider for yout two year old girl.  My Little Pony is a fun theme that caters to little girls.  Strawberry Shortcake is also a good theme, and gives you your cake flavor, too.  If you prefer to have a looser, non-licensed theme, you can try just a general princess theme, without the Disney Princesses.  You may also prefer to incorporate her favorites into your theme.  If she likes puppies or kittens, you can make them part of your theme.

The hardest part of choosing a theme for your two year old girls birthday party is finding just one to stick with.  There are so many cute things that your little girl is likely to love, and it does get difficult to just choose one.  Just remember, there's always next year.
