Tips on Planning a Beach Themed Wedding

From 3arf

Beach weddings are not only very romantic, but can also be incredibly beautiful, and somewhat of a unique concept as opposed to the standard church wedding. If you are planning a beach wedding there are some important tips to guide you in ensuring that your sun and sand day is a great success.

Choose Carefully:When planning your beach wedding the very first thing you will want to do is scout out the very best possible beach location for your big day. It is best to do this during the warmest months when the beach is in use to get an idea of what it will be like during the in season. Choose a beach which is preferably well maintained in terms of cleanliness such as garbage clean up, and wash up removal of seaweed and any other things that can wash up on sure. Next, be sure that the beach you choose is sandy as opposed to lots of rocks as this can make the event a little less comfortable for the couple as well as their guests. Last, but certainly not least, you will want to choose a beach which can be allotted for private usage, and ensure that on the day of the big day there will be no other swimmers or other people on the beach. Once you have found the beach which meets all of this criteria, the real beach wedding planning can begin.

Keep the Numbers Low:Beaches most often do not offer the amount of space that a church would, therefore it may be a good idea to your number of guests low. This can be just for the actual ceremony and during the reception, if help at a different location, the numbers can be increased. Another option is to inform guests of limited space, invite them anyway, and allow them to make the decision whether or not to come. While some people will choose not to attend, others may not mind the limited space and want to see the exchange of vows anyway.

Clean Up Crew:Even if you have found the perfect beach location where clean up is done regularly, it would still be a wise idea to have a quick look at the beach the morning of the event, and do a clean up if needed. Of course, the bride and groom will be otherwise occupied and far too busy to take care of this themselves, but a few friends will be sure to help out and take care of it for them.

Weather Watch:Weather can, at times, be very unpredictable. With that in mind it is best to plan the big day during a time of the year when good weather is the norm. Even doing so cannot guarantee perfect weather for the big day, so it is important to watch the weather forecasts for a few days prior to the event. If you are planning a small, intimate, wedding, you may be able to change the schedule a little to fit into the weather forecast if there is any flaws predicted.

Choose Appropriate Attire:The beach, while a wonderful setting for the most important day of your life, may not be the best suited place for a bride to wear certain types of wedding attire, so another key point in planning a beach wedding is to choose attire carefully. For example, a heavy dress with a long, flowing train, although beautiful, would not be the best idea for a beach wedding. Instead choose a dress of a standard length, one that the bride herself of her flower girl, can easily lift to avoid dragging. Secondly, high heeled shoes are another no-no. Ballerina style, or pointed toe, flats are both great options instead.

Decorations:While some people may not have any decorations for their beach wedding, other couples may choose to decorate a little, and if you do, it is important to choose decorations which will not blow away, as winds will be present at the beach. Keep it simple, low key, and weather appropriate to ensure your scene does not get ruined.

These are all very important things to keep in mind when planning a beach wedding. When using these, your beautiful beach wedding will sure to be an unforgettable experience for the couple, and all of those attending.
