Teen Advice how to tell if You’re Born to be a Star
Definitions of a star can vary greatly. You have star athletes, star musicians, star authors and can even be the star of your family. It is all putting it into perspective.
I consider my parents to be stars. They have raised two children and I think we came out pretty good (but I might be biased). They might be considered stars in the sense of a famous star is, but they are stars too.
In this sense, ANYONE can be a star. If you have a passion, use that for the good of society, your family, school or whatever you choose, you can be a star to many people.
How do you know if you have what it takes to be a star of the famous variety? A good start to finding this out is by reading interviews with people in the field you want to become a star. Read up on what they say the benefits and drawbacks are of the profession you are seeking.
The number one thing you need to embrace to be a star of any kind is your individuality! There is only one you in the world and that makes you unique and different. Explore this part of you fully and you are long on your way to becoming a star.
Realize that many fields of stardom lose a lot of privacy. How much do you value your privacy? Are you willing to have reporters and photographers covering your every move? Especially in the music and acting fields, you will see celebrities being followed around. They aren't even able to run out to their mailboxes in their pajamas without having photos taken. Are you willing to give up this privacy? If not then you might want to consider being a star on a more localized level.
Are you sensitive? Stars are often criticized by people who know nothing about what it takes to do what they do, as well as people who know exactly what it takes. You can't have a soft heart if you want to be a star. You need to be able to take criticism and turn it into something positive.
All that being said, do you just love being the leader? Do you love having your picture taken and being the main focus of gossip, good and bad alike? Is there nothing else in this world you can see yourself doing besides singing in front of large audiences for a living, playing a professional sport, writing best sellers, etc.? If those all apply to you, then you may be born to be a star.
It is best to get involved with an agent as soon as possible in many of these fields. Shop around and get many opinions before choosing one. Research, research, research. Talk to as many people as possible about the dos and don'ts. Stay focused and don't let anyone keep you from your dream!
