TV Characters Birthday Parties
A child's birthday party based on a TV character can make the party so much more fun, especially when it's a character that the kids are familiar with and can relate to in some way. It is best to pick a character that is popular that most of the kids will at least recognize even if they don't watch the show.
The appropriate TV character theme will also depend on the child's age. For kids six and under, there are some great TV shows aimed at that age group that kids love.
Dora the Explorer is a great option. This show is extremely popular with young children. Even if some of the young guests attending do not watch Dora the Explorer they will most likely recognize the character and enjoy the theme.
It would also be difficult to find a kid who wouldn't recognize the Mouse's. You know, as in Mickey and Minnie. And don't forget Goofy, too! These characters are simply iconic. They're certainly not very modern or current, but these characters are recognized by everyone. And a lot of kids like some of the newer shows featuring these classic characters that teach kids how to count and find things and spell simple words.
Blue's Clues is a show about a blue dog who helps his owner solve little mysteries. While a little less popular or well known than the other two previously mentioned, it's still a perfect choice if you have a child who is a fan of the show.
For kids between seven and eleven, the options will be a little different. Kids in this age groups will be more interested in watching shows that entertain them as opposed to teaching them things like how to count or spell.
Spongebob Squarepants is a character that is not only entertaining to kids, but is known to the whole family. And Spongebob is not the only character to choose for a theme. There's also Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Patrick, and Sandy. All of them are entertaining lovable characters that are perfect for a birthday party theme.
The Fairly Oddparents is another show that is very popular. This show features a boy who has two fairies who grant him wishes. All three would be perfect for a character theme.
A Hannah Montana theme would certainly be more popular with girls, but it is still a great party theme for kids who love the show or like to pretend they're rock stars like Hannah Montana. This type of theme would probably be best if it only featured Hannah Montana instead of including some of her friends on the show. That makes the theme more about the music and the performing aspect instead of a sitcom on Disney Channel.
If you need help planning a party featuring any of these characters, you shouldn't have much trouble if you visit your local party store that has supplies for children's birthday parties. If you want to know more about the characters look through your TV guide to find out when it's on and watch an episode or two. It may also be helpful to connect with other parents who have hosted parties featuring the theme of a TV character.
