Now for some they are born to a silver spoon and others have that Midas touch that everything turns to gold, for the rest of us, it is good we follow the words of Thomas Jefferson, I'm a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work the more I have it.

We shouldn't let success be difficult if we approach it correctly, first we need a plan which would include our ambitions to reach success. It is best to lay out an outline to create a path to follow, the notion of success is a wide spectrum. We have successful lawyers, politicians, business careers, laborers, doctors, scientist, teachers, police enforcement, athletes and parenting these are all careers we have the opportunity to accomplish, "If you will remember always, there is no goal you can't achieve, if you try your very hardest, and above all else... believe" Amy Garrison.

Let us use a fictitious character Susie for an example, her ambitions is to have a cooking show on the Food Network. Susie needs a plan, she has mastered the art of barbecuing and believes she is one of the best. First she has written and submitted recipes to various places and has become a published author on the subject. Than with her own recipes in tow, she enters as many cooking contest that she can.  Setting goals along the way to win as many championships as she can, will this guarantee a show on the Food Network, absolutely not, does she have a better chance after succeeding her goals, I think we can all agree that most definitely she does.

Try, try, and try again and if at first we don't succeed, than try, try again. Along the way we may tend to make mistakes, it is an opportunity to correct them and realign ourselves to achieve our goals, we need to set smaller achievable goals that will lead to our ambition of being who we want. George Edward Woodburry once said, "Defeat is not the worst of failures, not to have tried is the true failure". Remember in order to be successful at anything is to study the subject, practice drill and rehearse. As all of this sounds hard, it doesn't have to be difficult, find something you like and it becomes easier. And true success is measured by you and how you feel you did not by others, if you are happy with the accomplishments than you achieved inner success.

So whether you about to be a new parent, the next short stop for the Yankees or the Vice President of your local bank, be prepared, set a plan in motion work on reaching smaller goals as you go along, a successful doctor is going to need an impressive education just to start the progress, so now that you are on the road, use the map and avoid getting lost and Irving Berlin said remember the toughest thing about being a success is that you have to keep on being a success.
