Qualifications a Housewife can use on a Resume
Being a housewife is a big job, many housewives even do much more work and work for long hours than a lady who works in an office for 40 hours per week. It is also true that a housewife is on call for 24/7, 365 days. Home managing is a big task and it requires many skills that any housewife should have for a successful home. When one looks at the housewife there are many qualifications or skills that a housewife can use on their resume.
Time Management- This is a good qualification for any housewife to use on their resume, given nature of the work in the home, one must be very good at time keeping. Getting all the work done before dusk is no easy task but with good time keeping one can achieve their daily targets. Since time management is a requirement for any kind of job out there, putting in on a resume as a qualification is a big plus.
Prioritizing and Being Organized- Establishment of the tasks that need urgent attention at home is a good qualification too, it helps the housewife with accomplishing the things that have to be done within a limited time frame. Being organized also helps much with making sure that no task is left out when doing housework or any other chore concerning the efficient running of the home and family.
Budgeting & Accountability- This is a very strong qualification that any housewife should have, it is basically the housewives who know the needs of the home better and therefore should ideally be in charge of all the expenditures and financial transactions. This will include paying of utilities bills, buying of groceries and any other expenses in the day to day running of the home.
Management Skills- Any housewife will agree that all housewives should be able to effectively manage the home in a good manner, it takes a lot of effort to manage a home. That is why having good management skills is a big plus for any housewife's resume. A good manager will be successfully run the home without any hindrances, since a housewife spends much time at home then they are able to come up with efficient systems that can be implemented in the home.
The housewife resume is more of a functional one which includes skills that are applicable and can be measured with time to check out their effectiveness and efficiently. So every housewife out there should know that they are doing a good job at home and should continue with all the good work.
