Partylite Consultant Benefits
As an Independent Consultant for PartyLite Gifts, Inc., you can expect benefits that other home show companies either do not offer or simply have outrageous goals for you to meet.
The Beginning
Your first benefit when becoming a PartyLite Consultant begins when you have your very own PartyLite show. Many companies similar to PartyLite, including the company's biggest competitors, have an out of pocket cost you must pay in order to join their team of consultants. PartyLite offers you the chance to start your business for nothing more than a little time, effort and maybe some snacks for your guests. Currently, when you hold a starter show that reaches sales of $350, you receive your starter kit free.
What's more, is that PartyLite wants your business to succeed so much that every dollar over the $350 starter show amount grants you the exact same amount in host(ess) credit to obtain more product for your kit. Therefore, if you hold a $400 starter show, you get your starter kit free and $50 in credit to purchase other products of your choice.
The Commission
You will earn commission on every show you do at a current rate of 25% of sales. The average PartyLite show brings in $400 in sales, netting you $100 for two to three hours of your time. When you decide to move up with PartyLite and start your own team, you will start to earn more based on the number of consultants in your team, your personal sales and your team sales.
Sponsoring two consultants will grant you the title of Team Leader, as well as a 2% bonus on your teams' sales. When you reach six consultants who have been sponsored under you, your profit plus bonus rises to 7%. Now keep in mind, you may sponsor a new consultant who sponsors someone as well, giving you now two consultants in your lineage. Profit plus commissions continue to grow as your lineage continues to grow. There is no limit on how many consultants are in your lineage, and no limit on your income.
In addition to extra profits, PartyLite now offers the Move Up program. This program grants bonuses to successful consultant as she moves up in rank. A consultant promoting to team leader will receive a $250 bonus and a $500 bonus when promoting out to unit leader. But there is more, there is nine tiers to the Move Up program, all granting a bigger bonus than the last. A Regional Vice President can expect to obtain a $12,000 bonus when they promote out to Senior Regional Vice President.
Even with the bonuses in place, you are not required to sponsor new consultants or promote out to any type of leader. You can still run your business and earn commission as an Independent Consultant without moving up in leadership. The benefits are in place, but you do not have to take advantage of them.
Bonus Pay
Because PartyLite wants you to succeed as an Independent Consultant, they offer bonus pay based on your sales. When you sell $2,000 in product in a month, an average of just 5 parties, you will receive a 7% profit bonus for all sales during that month. This profit bonus is ongoing and is able to be earned every month of every year.
Contests and Awards
Each month PartyLite offers rewards to consultants who successfully reach certain levels of sales for that particular month. These awards vary month to month but usually there is more than one. For instance, when you reach a $1,000 in sales for the month, you will receive a contest award and again at $2,000 in sales you will receive another contest award. The awards are generally free product, free catalogs or PartyLite Product Certificates to spend as you deem necessary to help your business.
Occasionally there may also be awards for those consultants who submit show orders between certain dates, such as from the first to the fifteenth of the month. New consultants are usually offered a free mid-level priced item free when they reach their first $500 in sales.
Product Discounts
Adding products to your show kit could not be an easy with the consultant 50% off discount. This perk allows you to obtain new product, different product or simple add more product to your show kit without killing your checkbook. In addition, as a consultant you can choose to purchase personal gifts for your loved ones at a discount of 33%.
You are also given the opportunity to purchase most of the host rewards at the same cost the host is offered to purchase them. There are times when this option is not available for certain product specials, but most of the time you are entitled to the same discount as the host.
Vacation
Each year PartyLite offers consultants of any rank to earn a free or low cost vacation to a predetermined destination. Generally, a consultant will have to earn points based on their individual and team sales to earn the trip for free. After you earn your free trip, you can earn a second one in order to allow your spouse or other loved one to join you on the vacation free as well. Alternately, after you earn your free trip, there is often the option to buy out the second ticket for your loved one to join you.
Points are earned at a ratio of 1:1 for each dollar sold. Sponsoring a new consultant can net you a large amount of points, lowering your overall sales need to earn the free trip. Usually you will need to reach the points total and sponsor new consultants to the business to earn the trip. There is usually a period offered to new consultants where their total trip points earned is doubled for a certain time period, especially if you are signing up during the qualification period. Who doesn't want to sit on a beach in a tropical area without spending a dime?
As you can see, there are many benefits of becoming a PartyLite consultant. Whether or not they are right for you is an individual decision. PartyLite gives every consultant the same opportunity to earn money, move up in leadership and be an all-start consultant. PartyLite offers free training at unit workshops and regional workshops usually once a month each. Your sponsor, unit leader, team leader and/or regional vice president can help arm you with the knowledge and the tools to be successful with PartyLite, and it is all free.
