Motorhome Reviews Trigano Tribute 650
TheTriganoTribute650 is a motor home for those living exclusively in the UK. It is a high-end motor home. It has a forward lounge, sliding door, kitchen, washroom with a shower and a fridge/freezer and priced under 35 grand. This Italian-made vehicle has places for three people.
The Tribute does not have the power on the motorway that other motor homes have. It only has a 100 bhp motor with five gears. The Fiat Ducato X250 is the van beneath the home. The auto is pleasant to drive. It is economical.
Possible problems include leaking scuttles and a too-high reverse gear. The scuttles problems appear to have been corrected, but the reverse gear issue continues.
The Trigano has cruise control, passenger airbag, and faux-wood trim. Air conditioning increases the price. The van does not have any back windows, making drivers rely on the side view and rear view mirrors to see what is behind them.
The van handles very well on country roads, however in tight places, the tires may hit the kerb due to the long wheel base. Sitting is uncomfortable because the seats are too high.
For dining, it is better to stop some place along the way. The table top storage is in the back so to get the table set up, passengers must open the back doors and move it to the inside. The upside, it does have two positions.
Lighting is poor with just two fluorescent lights in the main room; no lighting in the bedroom. The kitchen work space is small making the cook feel cramped. It has a Webasto diesel-fired space heater which provides warmth on those cold UK days and nights. The large freezer allows any cook to feel precious.
What the Trigano does not have, but needs, is a spare wheel, a stainless steel draining board and reversing sensors for safe backing. The beds are small and not easy to make up. A person needs to know how to put the pieces together, and this is not an easy job. The double bed is only 4 ft by 11 in and the single bed is 5 ft 9.5 inches.
Storage in the motor home is meager. It has one large cupboard storage compartment in the kitchen area and another cupboard in the washroom area but little storage elsewhere. This motor home makes a good travel companion, but as a living quarters, it does not provide much in the way of storage or comfort.
The washroom has a shower, Thetford swivel-bowl loo, and small vanity. It comes with a large mirror, loo roll holder, and transparent window.
Overall Trigano did not score very well with reviewers. The design makes it too small for comfort and making the beds becomes a huge chore. Reviewers recommend theTribute 655with a better and easier to make bed.
