Make Money Writing Product Reviews

From 3arf

You can get paid to do many things online - take surveys, write blogs, even click on links in emails.  One other way you can use the Internet to make money is to write product reviews.

If you have a decent amount of writing ability, product reviews are a great way to earn some supplemental income.  You have plenty of products in your home, your office, and probably even in your car.  You use them every day - why not get paid to write about how well they work?

You can write a product review on just about anything you're familiar with, from a specific brand of frozen waffles to a late-model pickup truck.  All of the websites listed below pay writers to review various products.

-EpinionsEpinions is a site where readers can find product reviews as well as links to purchase many of those products.  As a reviewer, you can write about any product you can find listed on the site.  An Epinions review only has to be 100 words long, and each one is rated by other reviewers depending on how helpful it is.  The higher your review is ranked, the more chance people will read it, and the more chance you'll have of making some money from it.  The money you earn during a month is credited to your account sometime in the beginning of the next month, and you can request a check once your account reaches $10.

-InfoBarrelInfoBarrel has only been around a couple of years, but it's another site that publishes product reviews.  Writers set up a Google AdSense account, and you are paid a percentage of the money that the ads displayed with your review generate.  Articles must be 325 words long, but 400-word articles are encouraged.  Article titles and content must be approved by a site editor before your article goes live.  Since you are paid through AdSense, you can redeem your money once you've met the $100 threshold.

-HeliumHelium publishes all sorts of different kinds of articles, including product reviews.  Writers have the opportunity to earn upfront payments and empty title bonuses, in addition to income from the number of page views their reviews get.  Helium articles must be at least 400 words.  As a writer, if you want to write a product review about a product that hasn't already been reviewed, you'll have to suggest the title and get it approved before posting your article.  Almost anything is fair game, but Helium is currently not publishing any new food reviews.  You can request your money once you've earned $25 or more.
