Issues on Trucking Industry
Trucks had been very popular in transporting goods from one place to another. However, many issues arise from their would be valuable usage in the market industry. A lot of companies produce trucks and many other companies depend on them. However, a lot of speculations still arise on the usability and road-friendliness of these trucks.
Many places had banned trucks from entering the major streets. The reason behind this is the unsafe existence of these trucks on our roads. The weight capacity of the trucks also pose problems since some roads are cannot really carry the weight of these huge vehicles, thus, causing cracks on the roads that will then lead to a more inconvenient road to other motorists.
Some states are also imposing strict regulations on the issuance of licenses from drivers of trucks. they require a lot of background tests that would become an added burden to the drivers. Even if some of these tests are really not applicable, the drivers cannot do anything but to follow the rules just to get by with their jobs.
The local government as well as the traffic regulations should somehow weigh things. They should think of what would be beneficial for both the truck owners as well as current situation of the place. If the truck is would not cause any obstruction in the streets as well as the businesses, they should somehow be given better considerations when it comes to regulation.
It could be helpful to set some regulations for them but I think that it is important to hear their cries and hear their side too. After all, the trucking industry is a big help to everyone and most of our basic needs, like the transportation of food and clothes, depend much on the trucking industry.
Another issue that concerns the trucking industry is the increase in fuel prices. Almost every sector actually face the problem but since the trucking industry mainly depend on diesel to run, they are really affected. Truck owners are left with no option but to increase charges in their services. This would then lead to an increase in the price of the goods that are being transported using these trucks.
The problem in the trucking industry is not solely felt by truck owners. It actually affects all the other components in the society including us. Therefore it is a must to really consider the angst of the truck drivers and owners since we would also benefit if they are given more consideration.
