Issues of non Traditional Marriage
Hello I thought that this was America. I was always under the impression that one of the key components of this country was life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In our lives we have the freedom to do whatever we like, and that should include having whatever type of wedding we like. That's what makes this country so great.
Think about the various cultures across the world who is getting married. Does getting married a certain way really matter.
I myself am not married, however, when I do get married I wasn't thinking about having a traditional church wedding. I was thinking about doing something more natural, which will compliment my wives beauty. A vacation to Hawaii with a small group of friends, without a pastor. Rather we the lovers, exchanging wedding vowels and kissing to conclude the ceremony. This way we can essential do whatever we want, without being subjected to the norm.
I think that there should be a new way of traditional weddings. Everyone has different beliefs and ethics. Given the differences, that's what should be emphasized. There are numerous amounts of people who are not religious and do not believe in god. A new tradition may suggest being married under what they find important.
Think about the irony of gay marriage. If the bible says that homosexuality is a sin, and those particular people are getting married in a church then technically aren't they sinning under that the laws of tradition. This is ludicrous. Any one who's wants to get married should get married not matter what.
There is always a revolution in any society, especially one that values wealth and material. The young will always be fighting the old. The younger generation, the group that will assume power will always make changes in the system. There will always be new ideals about certain issues and there will always be new and innovated technology. With this expansion we cannot expect to keep the same way thinking, for it will out dated. This is the time to expand your thinking beyond the norm and what is acceptable in contemporary society. Issues like alternative ways of getting married is a beginning factor in providing a change of though and theory, that will benefit a mass of people.
The pros to having an alternative wedding, are obviously having your wedding any way you want it.The cons, is the validity of the wedding, will the wedding be considered official in the views of the law.
I think that as time change rapidly, an issue like this will be much more illuminated, and hopefully as time passes and people become more subjected toward ethics, it will matter who and how we as humans get married.
