When a person is in need of a job, they must find ways to be employable.  The application process can be lengthy, and the longer a person needs to wait to get a job, the more money they will lose.  Obviously, unemployment benefits have played a big role in helping people, but that is only temporary.  Eventually, a person will need to get a job if they want to continue to have a steady source of income.  There are several ways that a person can improve their employability.  If a person has good employability, they will be able to be hired fairly easily, and keep their job as well.  Getting hired is only the first part, but obviously the most important is keeping the job.

A person must have a good personality in order to be employable.  This does not mean that they are always joking around, but it does mean that they have a smile on their face when they come to work each day.  When employers see their employees coming to work each day in good spirits, they will want to keep them on board with the company as long as they can.  Good spirits and happy employees help a company to prosper and if most companies are observed, this is not a common trait.  If a person has a good personality, and a good spirit, then they are more likely to be employable and remain that way.

Employability would describe a person who has a good reputation as an employee, but may have been let go due to no fault of their own.  Sometimes companies have to make substantial cuts, and even the top employees need to be let go sometimes.  If a person has a good reputation and has the know-how to do various kinds of jobs, then they are going to be more employable.  An employer will know this by their résumé and the references they carry.  If an employee will carry this to every potential job opportunity, they will have a better chance of being hired and kept with the company.

If a person has the right spirit and the experience to go for the job in question, they are nine times out of ten going to be employable and have a better chance of maintaining their job as opposed to someone who is not employable.
