Hummers – No

From 3arf

Hummers should not be outlawed for road travel. Hummers are large cars, but they are also very safe. You can put a lot of stuff in a Hummer, and you can drive it under various weather conditions. Although Hummers consume an abundance of gasoline, and contribute to air pollution, this does not meant that they should not be used for road travel.

One of the reasons why Hummers are so expensive is because they are such good cars for safety purposes. They have a boxy design, but they are able to protect people better than smaller cars during an auto accident. The design of the Hummer also allows it to travel over various types of terrain. This is important when the weather is bad, or the ground is uneven. On a smaller car, driving in bad conditions is more difficult and more dangerous. People may want to use Hummers for road travel because of these reasons.

Those individuals that do not believe Hummers are good for road travel have their own reasons. First of all, Hummers are much larger than most other cars. This makes the accidents much worse for the smaller cars when the Hummers crash into them. Also, some individuals do not want to drive such a large car because manipulating larger cars is more overwhelming and difficult. Another reason why people choose not to have Hummers is because of the expense. Hummers are not only expensive to purchase, but they are also expensive to maintain. They consume so much gas, which also does not help the environment. Nevertheless, people that do not feel the need to have a Hummer believe that such cars are unnecessary. They are too bulky and expensive. Such individuals also feel that Hummers should be outlawed for road travel because of these reasons. There is no use driving a car that will make other accidents worse and contributes to environmental pollution.

Not liking the design or expense of the Hummer is one thing, but outlawing it completely is quite another. The Hummer should not be outlawed for road travel. It is a safe car and has more good qualities than bad qualities. Instead of outlawing the Hummer for road travel, people should find ways to make the Hummer more environmentally friendly. Perhaps a hybrid Hummer or an electric Hummer would be a better alternative. Not only would such alternatives help the environment, but they would also make the car slightly less expensive to own.
