How to Repair a Car Dent
You are headed for a wedding; all dressed up well and as soon as you reach there someone says, ‘hey your car has a dent!’ Wouldn’t that be embarrassing? For sure it is embarrassing for each and every one of us and believe it no one wants to drive a car with a dent. Of course denters are the best option you have but what if you are broke or you don’t have the time to take your car to a denter? In such crucial times the best thing is to do the job yourself!
Let’s not brag about how to fix the dent the professional way because you can’t do it the way professionals do it. If you try to then you’ll need to bring in a couple of tools and numerous other products which of course you don’t want to. Saving money and time is the main reason why you are doing it yourself so you wouldn’t want to spend anything.
Here is a simple way of how you can repair a car dent (not as good as a professional would do but to a certain extent it will make it look fine).
The first thing is to gather some tools. Don’t go out shopping for that all you need is a hammer, a sand paper, a spray can of auto paint or touch-up paint can, and a screw driver.
Firstly spot the dent and get to its center. As soon as you are there figure out how to get at the back side of the dent which is the inner side. The first thing you should do is to unscrew every nut and bolt around the area of dent and hammer it from the inner side. This will push the dented area outwards. Now once the dent has gone you need to make it look clean so for that use the sand paper on it to remove the dirt that might have been there after it got dented.
Now you have cleaned and hammered the dent out what now? Now you need to spray it with touch-up paint so that it doesn’t look untidy. Touch-up paint is usually transparent and or usually in certain shades. It takes the paint from around the area of the dent and mixes up with it to give the right look.
That’s it! You have done it! Now when you get the time get it a professional touch to make it look perfect till then you are ready to go!
